ACR Homes provides residential support services for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Jim and Dorothy Nelson opened the first ACR home in 1981 for six students with autism who were graduating from high school. Based on their personal experience living and working with people with disabilities, they developed a unique model of care. We currently support over 200 individuals in over 50 homes throughout the five-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. Each home reflects the tastes, interests, and special needs of the people we support there. We strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in each home.
ACR At Home HealthCare
Initially established in September 2007 as At Home in Minnesota HealthCare, we have been providing in-home care for clients for as little as three hours a week, up to on-site, 24-hour care. We are able to provide Home Health Aides as well as nurses, depending on need.
Arthur’s Residential Care
Our first location was established in November, 2007, and our second location opened in 2011. Arthur’s Residential Care has licensed Assisted Living Facilities operating in exclusive, executive, residential homes for just six people. Each location offers six private suites that each have a private bathroom and shower. The original location is situated in a wooded section of Roseville, it is a very comfortable home built in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright by one of his students. The second location, built specifically for use as a licensed Residential Facility, is on a lovely wooded lot in Shoreview.
